Guys i have 5.1 logitech X-540 set and it use to work good in XP. After switching to Win 7 the woofer do not work anymore.

I have done the update drive etc. I have done some research and it seem alot of people having the same problem....

Any help?

i have windows 7 and i have the same speaker system and I also use SRS audio sandbox
it works fine for me
my laptop is dell and im connected trrough 2 headphone and 1 line in array
i didnt use any adapters

ya but SRS audio sandbox is only for Windows Media Player..i'm having this problem for every player..iTunes VLC!

no in window 7 sound card 5.1 doesnot work if u have window 7 driver for sound not xp

he sounded that to me too.. i am thinking to buy a new soundcard for win7... came with computer i do not like it much.. now i have to be careful.. cause returning opened hardware is a pain these days..

which sound card are you using? onboard or dedicated sound? try downloading latest drivers for win7. and check the settings, make sure you set your speakers options to 5.1 channel in Control panel > Hardware and sound.

go in your sound properties and make sure u have all the correct setting.. or updated driver like evey1 else said...

You just need to update or re-install the right driver set. Check the hardware sites to get the compatible driver software. They will work like charm.
