my brother bought ps3 from canada. it states 120V , 2.1 a current and 60HZ with maximum wattage 250 watts. problem is we here get 220 V . what sort of voltage convertor i need , of how many watts ?

PS3 is supossed to have a universal powersupply. It will work without any converter. Just plug it in

i have heard this now too that it can run on 220 v. but ps3 has 110v written on it and my brother says he cant take the risk , if ps3 blows or something happen , he is not responsible

It has been 5 days , ps3 is just lying on my shelf. Electronic person here say they dont know about ps3 power consumption , i mean no one in own town now about ps3 as it is a small town. Now it is getting frustrating.

ps3 indeed has universal psu. it will work fine. why it states 110v outside is because to clearly label the intended audience/country for that ps3..

ps - should have bought an xbox 360 instead...

where do i go now ? what do i do ? should i plug it directly into 220v ? my model is cech-2101b
